About Marcia

Marcia Fossey owns and operates Ponderosa Jewellery, a home-based business established in 1992 while living in Whitehorse, Yukon. Marcia is a Professional Home Economist with a B.Sc. in Home Economics (Clothing and Textiles) from the University of Alberta. In 1997, Marcia and her family moved to Edmonton, where she continues to design and sell her remarkable jewellery.

Living Pieces of History

Marcia travels the world to source unique and beautiful art pieces to use in her creations. Her unique jewellery designs are living pieces of history, featuring beads and other materials up to 2000 years old!

Many of her inspirations for her Historical Bead Jewellery come from her love of the Pacific Northwest First Nations Culture that she developed while living in Whitehorse. Over time, her designs have grown to include jewellery designed from Roman Glass and Ancient Bronze Artifacts, along with modern pieces like Art Glass, Semi-Precious Stones, Sterling Silver, and Notable jewellery.
